Biography

Carla Divieto is a researcher in the Metrology for Biosciences Group at the National Institute for Metrology Research (INRIM) - Turin since 2009. She received a M.S. in Biological Sciences summa cum laude (2005) from Federico II University of Naples. She worked in field of stem cell and regenerative medicine research since 2006, in the Bone Regeneration Laboratory at the Rizzoli Hospital in Bologna and in the Stem Cell Laboratory at the University of Bath in UK where she received her MRes in Regenerative Medicine (2009). She obtained her Ph.D. in Metrology from Polytechnic University of Turin (2013). Her main research activities are in the field of metrology applied to cell and molecular biology, stem cell research and precision medicine. She has been involved in several European (Euramet) and National projects and pilot studies (CCQM) in the fields of metrology for biosciences, regenerative medicine and neurodegenerative diseases. She is active member of the ASTM. She is author of 20 manuscripts in the field of metrology for cell and molecular biology and of 2 ASTM standard practice on quantification procedures in cell measurements.

In BIORECAR project, Carla is co-tutor of the PhD student Camilla Paoletti, and is working on the optimization of the agents for direct reprogramming of human cardiac fibroblasts.
