Camilla Paoletti

Post-doctoral fellow

Biography

Camilla Paoletti graduated in Molecular Biotechnology at the University of Torino (2017) and obtained her PhD in Bioengineering and Medical-Surgical Sciences as joint PhD program at Politecnico di Torino and University of Torino (2022). During her PhD, she studied cardiac fibroblasts reprogramming into cardiomyocytes via microRNAs as a novel strategy for heart regeneration after myocardial infarction within BIORECAR project.

She is currently a post-doctoral fellow in the BIORECAR group. Her work is focused on fibroblast reprogramming into cardiomyocytes using several bioengineered based platforms, as biomimetic 3D culture (using hydrogel and cardiac extracellular matrix proteins) and hybrid nanoparticles for miRNA delivery.

During these years, she delivered several presentations at national and international conferences and authored 7 publications and 1 book chapter (h-index 4).
