Giovanni Paolo Stola

Ph.D. student

Biography

Giovanni Paolo Stola graduated in 2022 (MSc) in Biomedical Engineering at Politecnico di Torino. His master thesis project was about the optimization of injectable hydrogels for cardiac applications and was carried out within the BIORECAR project. Afterwards, he worked as postgraduate fellow for 6 months in the PoC Instrument project POLHYGENTH and his work was mainly focused on the design of surface functionalized nanoparticles and their validation to achieve active cellular targeting. He is currently a PhD student in Bioengineering and Medical-Surgical Sciences at Politecnico di Torino under the supervision of Prof. Chiono. Concerning the BIORECAR project, he is involved on the design of injectable hydrogels for the release of nanoparticles and bichemical cues for the direct cellular reprogramming in cardiac regeneration.
