Biography

Monica Boffito graduated in Biomedical Engineering in 2010 and obtained her PhD in Biomedical Engineering in 2014 at Politecnico di Torino (Italy). She has documented experience in biomaterial, characterization and processing into 3D scaffolds or stimuli-sensitive injectable hydrogels. After receiving her PhD, she worked at Politecnico di Torino, first as post-doc fellow, then as researcher with fixed-term contract (RTD-A), becoming a tenure-track researcher in 2019. She is the author of 22 publications in peer-reviewed journals, 4 book chapters and 2 patents. In the framework of BIORECAR project, Monica is involved in the design of bioartificial injectable thermosensitive and in situ cross-linkable hydrogels for the localized delivery of therapeutic agents
